A particularly nostalgic chapter will be told for the first time this year on the newly designed Millstätter Lichtweg (Millstatt Light Trail) during Advent. The trail leads through a historic park and the town centre to the picturesque lake shore. The story, written especially for this trail, interweaves the ancient times of the Knights of St. George with the venerable history of Millstatt Abbey and timeless encounters in the here and now.

An atmospheric Advent boat trip on the lake, a visit to the traditional Advent market organised by the local women in the Benedictine abbey in Millstatt, a sunny hike with magnificent views on the high plateau or an atmospheric walk along the illuminated trail with many cultural highlights, a cosy afternoon in a mountain hut with Carinthian mulled wine.
